I am passionate about good. food. By creating dimension through layers of flavor, everything I serve is designed to excite the senses. Food is visual. Food is visceral. Food is sensual. And food is an act of kindness and sharing.

My philosophy about food and cooking is pretty simple - shortcuts dilute the quality of the end result. Thomas Keller of The French Laundry expresses it perfectly - “Cooking is not about convenience and it's not about shortcuts. Our hunger for the twenty-minute gourmet meal, for one-pot ease and prewashed, precut ingredients has severed our lifeline to the satisfactions of cooking. Take your time. Take a long time. Move slowly and deliberately and with great attention.”  Therein lies the love.

Chef Kyle Cooks is the present vehicle that supports my passion for the culinary arts! Restaurants have devolved into corporate assembly lines and processes. Fast "food" has become king and I am not entirely sure we should even be calling it food, at all. I desire to preserve and share the time-crunched art of real cuisine by creating out of the ordinary, honest food - with integrity.  I strive to make real food accessible, attainable and manageable in our time-sensitive daily lives and at the same time, demonstrate how easily we can transform our meals into something extraordinary.
